Grails Podcast Wishlist
- I want a podcast about.... specifically answering how....
- Interviews with Grails application developers (Sven Haiges) (users) with emphasis on:
- Why was Grails selected for an application over other candidates (specific)
- What tools were used to set things up (IDE, database, plugins, etc.)
- What were the challenges, how were they overcome or worked around
- What were the lessons learned
- Discussions with developers of specific plugins, such as Mondrian.
- What use case prompted the development?
- How is the tool to be used? (examples, code fragments, etc.)
- Discussions on specific problem areas, such as how to use Grails with Eclipse
- How do we set up Eclipse for fast turnaround for edit and test?
- How do we use the unit test framework without having to restart the server?
- How do we interpret the stack traces?
- Grails debugging. Tips, tricks, problems, new features, features in upcoming releases. (Grails is very attractive conceptually, but if you run off the rails, it can get rather confusing.)
- UI creation:
- How do we create and edit gsp pages in eclipse?
- are there any WSIWYG tools/plugins for eclipse?
- Is there a development process for building the GSP pages in external tools and importing them to eclipse? How do they impact project management?
